A documentary about the 2006 Maoist revolution in Nepal.

After a 10 year long civil war the king of Nepal finally steps down. The Maoist rebellion has come to an end. This film tells the story of what led up to the civil war, how it unfolded and what happened after the revolution took place. Why did a small Maoist party start a war against its own government and king? How did an army of farmers manage to stand up against an entire country’s military – and win? What do those who fought for a more just society think about the outcome of the fight, did the leaders make the changes they promised? The answers to these questions are sought through interviews with villagers, journalists, guerilla soldiers and writers.
